Location: Ourimbah Surgery, 61 Pacific Highway, OURIMBAH NSW 2258

Background

Ourimbah Surgery has proudly served the local community for over 32 years, providing high-quality, patient-centred healthcare. Throughout this time, we have remained committed to delivering personalized medical care and building long-term relationships with our patients.

As a small independent medical practice, we maintain a strong focus on accessibility and community support. We bulk bill pensioners, Health Care Card holders, and children under 16 years of age. Our practice currently cares for approximately 3,500 active patients, many of whom travel from surrounding areas including Mangrove Mountain, Kulnura, Wyong, Warnervale, Berkeley Vale, and Chittaway Bay.

Our ongoing growth and loyal patient base reflect the trust and confidence the community has placed in our services over more than three decades.

Job Description

General Practitioner

Daily tasks include

- Consult patients to assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.

- Conduct physical examinations and review medical histories.

- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including pathology and imaging.

- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.

- Provide preventive healthcare advice and health education.

- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as required.

- Refer patients to specialists and coordinate multidisciplinary care.

- Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with reporting requirements.

- Arrange hospital admissions and follow-up care where necessary.

Requirements:

- A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in medicine; and

- At least one year of hospital-based training; and

- Registration/licensing as a medical practitioner

- Self-motivated and able to work independently while maintaining team collaboration.

- Adaptability and problem-solving skills navigate the challenges of healthcare delivery.

- A genuine passion for improving healthcare outcomes

Annual salary: AUD $170,000 - $230,000 + superannuation (+ 38 hours of work per week).

Pay: $170,000.00 – $230,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
