Odyssey House NSW’s trauma-informed services set us apart as a leader in the support service space for alcohol and other drugs dependency. Our teams help clients to meet their goals and address underlying trauma and mental health issues, while also developing new skills to improve all aspects of their lives.

Join the Odyssey Family Recovery Centre as a part-time Case Manager and support parents and children in a purpose-built residential family recovery program. This rewarding role works alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated case management, practical support and strengths-based guidance to families affected by substance use and related challenges. You will help parents build confidence, strengthen family relationships, develop recovery and parenting skills, and work towards safer, healthier futures. The role includes assessment, case planning, advocacy, referrals, group participation, documentation and collaboration with internal and external services. We are seeking a compassionate, organised and professional practitioner who can build trust, manage complexity and contribute to a supportive therapeutic environment. DUTIES INCLUDE:
Conduct pre-admission and ongoing participant assessments in line with the Odyssey Model of Care.
Develop and review Family Wellbeing Plans in collaboration with participants, AOD treatment workers and internal stakeholders.
Provide coordinated case management and treatment planning for parents and children in the Parents and Children Program and Parents in Contact Program.
Co-facilitate parent, therapeutic community and program groups, including completing evaluations as required.
Liaise with DCJ, legal services, contact agencies, medical staff and other external providers to support parenting and treatment objectives.
Prepare and maintain professional documentation, including case notes, court letters, progress reports, referrals and discharge-related information.
Contribute to clinical reviews, quality improvement, safeguarding responsibilities and the therapeutic community environment.
Skills and Experiences:

SELECTION CRITERIA:
Relevant VET qualification in AOD, counselling, community welfare or a related field; tertiary qualifications are desirable.
Experience working in a non-government AOD treatment program, preferably within a Therapeutic Community model.
Demonstrated understanding of case planning, case management and coordinated care for participants with complex needs.
Experience supporting parents, children aged 0–12 and families impacted by substance use, trauma and related challenges.
Experience in group facilitation and delivery of structured or therapeutic programs.
Knowledge of child development milestones, trauma impacts on childhood development, safeguarding and relevant NSW child protection responsibilities.
Strong communication, report writing, case noting, attention to detail, teamwork, time management and organisational skills.
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and client management systems.
Desirable training includes Triple P, Circle of Security, Tuning in to Kids/Teens and Mental Health First Aid.
