We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Dentist to join our friendly and professional team at Tamar Dental Lounge. The role involves providing high-quality dental care, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative procedures, preventive care, and patient education. About the Position

Location of work: 100 Tamar Street, Launceston, Tasmania - 7250
Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary Range: $160,000 to $180,000 plus guaranteed Superannuation
Duties and responsibilities:
· Diagnose oral diseases, conditions, and abnormalities through clinical examination and diagnostic imaging
· Develop comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plans in line with the scope of practice
· Provide general and restorative dental care including fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, crowns, bridges, and dentures
· Deliver preventive dental services such as scaling, polishing, fluoride treatments, and oral health education
· Interpret dental radiographs and other diagnostic tests to support accurate clinical decision-making
· Maintain detailed, accurate, and legally compliant patient records in accordance with AHPRA and the Dental Board of Australia guidelines
· Ensure strict compliance with infection control standards, workplace health and safety regulations, and clinical governance requirements
· Communicate treatment options, risks, and outcomes clearly to patients to support informed consent
· Work collaboratively with dental assistants, hygienists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
· Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain registration and meet continuing professional education requirements under the Dental Board of Australia
· Uphold ethical practice standards as required under Australian dental codes and professional conduct frameworks.
Qualification, skills and experience required:
· Relevant Bachelor degree or higher and minimum of 3 years of experience.
· Hold current AHPRA registration
· Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with the ability to provide high-quality dental treatments and patient care
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
· High attention to detail, professionalism, and knowledge of infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance standards under Australian dental practice requirements.
