We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a strategic and experienced Masterplanning Manager to join our Planning & Infrastructure team.
Reporting to the Head of Planning & Infrastructure, you'll lead the development of Launceston Airport's statutory Master Plan while providing expert advice on land use planning, airport safeguarding, infrastructure planning and regulatory approvals. Working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants and government agencies, you'll help shape the airport's long-term vision while balancing operational, commercial, environmental and community priorities.
Key responsibilities:
The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Lead the development and delivery of Launceston Airport's 2028 Master Plan and associated long-term planning initiatives.

Develop strategic land use, infrastructure and precinct planning that supports future airport growth and operational requirements.

Provide expert advice on airport safeguarding, statutory planning, regulatory approvals and development proposals.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, consultants and government agencies to deliver compliant, commercially sound and sustainable planning outcomes.

Analyse demand, growth trends and industry insights to inform future infrastructure planning and investment decisions.

Support the integration of the Master Plan into the airport's long-term capital planning and strategic asset management program.
The successful candidate will have:

Demonstrated experience in master planning, statutory planning, infrastructure planning or a related discipline within airports or other major infrastructure environments.

Experience navigating complex planning, regulatory and stakeholder environments, including working with government agencies and consultants.

Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance long-term planning objectives with operational and commercial outcomes.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships across diverse groups.

A tertiary qualification in Planning, Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline
