Retail Store Manager – Lead Our Laidley Team

Location: Laidley, QLD
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Reports To: Business Owner

Wayne's World is looking for an energetic, motivated and hands-on Retail Store Manager to lead our Laidley store.

About the Role

As our Retail Store Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Laidley store, leading a small team of part-time and casual team members.

You will be responsible for:

Leading, coaching and motivating your team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Driving sales performance and achieving store sales and profitability targets.
Managing stock control, inventory accuracy and merchandising standards.
Maintaining a clean, organised and inviting shopping environment.
Managing store rosters, labour costs and productivity.
Recruiting, training and developing team members.
Monitoring store performance and identifying opportunities to improve sales and profitability.
Ensuring efficient daily operations and accurate POS procedures.
Maintaining high standards of workplace health and safety.
Creating a positive, supportive and high-performing team culture.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys leading by example and takes pride in delivering exceptional results.

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

A minimum of 2 years' experience in a retail management role.
Experience within discount variety, general merchandise or a similar retail environment (highly regarded).
Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Experience with stock control and inventory management.
Confidence using Microsoft Office and retail POS systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving ability and confidence making decisions.
A proactive, self-motivated and positive attitude.
A passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
