AEP Automotive is growing and we’re seeking a trade qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic (heavy trade also considered) to join our team. This role is for people who want more than just a job; clear progression, a solid team culture and a workplace that supports life outside of work. It’s also well suited to those transitioning from fast-paced or high-pressure roles into a stable, family-friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Routine servicing and scheduled fleet maintenance
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs (mechanical + driveline)
- Mentoring apprentices and formally signing off their training milestones as they build real, hands-on trade skills.
- entative maintenance and inspection-based work
- Keeping work standards high: safety, quality and presentation
- Working to realistic timelines with good systems and support

Qualifications and Requirements

- Qualified mechanic (LV preferred; HD considered)
- A safety-first approach and pride in doing the job properly
- Good diagnostics mindset (you don’t just “swap parts”)
- Reliable, steady and professional—great attitude matters here
- Fleet experience is a plus, but not essential
