Part-Time Position with Leadership Growth Opportunity
About Us
We're Townsville's leading mobile device repair centre, recognised for high-quality workmanship, fast turnaround times, and exceptional customer service. As we continue to grow, we're looking for someone who wants more than just a job—we're looking for someone who wants to build a career.
Whether you're an experienced repair technician or someone with a genuine passion for technology and problem solving, we'll provide the training, support, and opportunities to help you succeed.
About the Role
This position is initially offered on a part-time basis. However, we're ultimately looking for someone with the drive and leadership potential to grow into a full-time role as our business continues to expand.
For the right candidate, full-time employment may be considered immediately.
As part of our team, you'll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, and other portable electronics.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Performing screen, battery, charging port and other repairs across Apple, Samsung and other major brands.
- Testing, troubleshooting and ensuring every repair meets our quality standards.
- Communicating clearly with customers and teammates regarding repair progress.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional workspace while following ESD and safety procedures.
- Continuously developing your technical skills through structured training and hands-on experience.
Hours and pay will be determined by your experience, skills and performance.
Who We're Looking For
Technical skills can be taught. We're far more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, work ethic and desire to grow.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Reliable, honest and accountable.
- Detail-oriented and proud of producing quality work.
- Passionate about technology and learning new skills.
- Comfortable communicating with customers and teammates.
- A logical thinker who enjoys solving problems.
- Someone who naturally takes initiative and shows leadership potential.
We're particularly interested in applicants who are looking for a long-term career and are excited by the opportunity to grow into greater responsibility as our business continues to expand.
The following would be highly regarded but aren't essential:
- Previous experience repairing mobile phones, tablets or other electronics.
- Familiarity with iOS and Android devices.
- Experience using diagnostic equipment.
- Micro-soldering or board-level repair experience.
Full training will be provided for the right person.
Why Join Us?
When you join our team, you're joining a business that believes in developing its people.
We offer:
- A friendly, supportive and highly skilled team environment.
- Ongoing training from industry-leading manufacturers.
- The opportunity to learn advanced repairs and board-level diagnostics.
- Professional development with genuine career progression.
- Staff discounts on repairs and accessories.
- A clean, modern workshop with quality tools and equipment.
- A workplace that values initiative, reliability and continuous improvement.
Career Progression
We're not simply filling a roster - we're investing in our future team.
This role has been advertised as part-time because that's our current operational requirement. However, we're actively looking for someone with the ambition, professionalism and leadership qualities to grow with the business.
If you're seeking a long-term career and believe you have what it takes to become a future leader within our team, we'd love to hear from you. Exceptional candidates seeking full-time employment are encouraged to apply, as full-time opportunities may be available for the right person.
How to Apply
If you're passionate about technology, enjoy working with your hands and want to be part of a growing business where your career can develop, we'd love to hear from you.
Please apply through Indeed with your resume. If you have any repair experience, personal projects, technical hobbies or achievements, we'd love to hear about them - they often tell us just as much as your work history.
