We are a well-established accounting and advisory firm based in Morley, providing taxation, business advisory, and accounting services to a diverse portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses, high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and SMSFs. As our client base continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to take ownership of client relationships, provide high-quality tax and advisory services, and contribute to the ongoing success of our firm.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an accountant with 2-4 years of public practice experience who is looking to further develop their technical expertise while building strong client relationships. Working closely with team members, you will manage a portfolio of clients and assist with a broad range of accounting, taxation, and compliance services.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, small to medium sized companies, trusts, partnerships, and self-managed super funds.
Prepare and review BAS, IAS, and other compliance lodgements.
Liaise directly with clients and the ATO regarding accounting and taxation matters.
Assist with tax planning, business advisory, and client consulting engagements.
Ensure compliance obligations and deadlines are met.
Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes and internal processes.
Support junior team members and contribute to a positive team environment.

About You

2–4 years' experience in public practice accounting.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
Sound understanding of Australian taxation and accounting principles.
Experience using Xero, MYOB, and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
