DESCRIPTION

We’re seeking for an experienced Operations Supervisor/Process Assistant to join the team at our BWU2 Fulfillment Center.

The Process Assistant will support the Area Manager, and will hold responsibilities specific to your process path which may include receive, stow, pick, pack or ship.

Key job responsibilities

Support and work in Inbound and other departments as required
Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties
Providing coverage for Area Managers
Providing policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)
Tracking and reporting of ATS/labor hours
Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance
Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance
Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity
Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals
Assisting in keeping work area clean and organised
Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area
Coaching associates to work safely at all times
Referring all job injuries immediately to area manager

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience leading teams
Experience working within a similar field (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail)
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members
Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Availability to work 38 hours+/week, and overtime as required
Comfortable in lifting up to 16 kilos, stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach, all with or without reasonable accommodation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Leadership experience directly managing others
Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement
Ability to analyse data and use it to drive operational decisions
Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a fast-paced environment
