Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary:$80,000 per annum

About the Role

As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of motor vehicles to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability. You will work in a professional workshop environment and contribute to delivering high-quality automotive services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in vehicle systems and components.
Inspect, dismantle, and assess engines, transmissions, steering systems, braking systems, and other vehicle assemblies.
Repair or replace defective, damaged, or worn parts and components.
Reassemble engines and mechanical systems following repairs and maintenance.
Conduct vehicle servicing, including oil changes, lubrication, tune-ups, and preventive maintenance.
Use diagnostic equipment and computer-based testing tools to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
Perform testing and adjustments to ensure repaired vehicles meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Maintain accurate service records and follow workshop procedures and safety requirements.
Assist in vehicle inspections and identify work required to maintain roadworthiness.

Essential Requirements

Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Sound knowledge of vehicle servicing and repair procedures.
Valid driver's licence preferred.
