About the role

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista/Café All Rounder to join the Gobake team in Shailer Park, QLD. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst being part of a vibrant hospitality environment. As a Barista/Café All Rounder, you will be the friendly face of our café, delivering exceptional customer service and crafting quality beverages and food offerings. Your role is pivotal in creating a welcoming atmosphere that keeps our customers coming back.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, with precision and consistency
Take customer orders efficiently and accurately, both at the counter and via till systems
Maintain a clean and hygienic café environment, including equipment, work surfaces and seating areas
Provide friendly, professional and attentive customer service to all patrons
Assist with food preparation and presentation where required
Stock and manage café supplies and inventory
Operate café equipment competently, including espresso machines, grinders and milk steamers
Support team members during busy periods and contribute to a positive work culture
Handle cash and card transactions accurately and securely

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a café, barista role or hospitality environment is preferred
Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and ability to craft quality beverages
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
Flexibility with shift patterns, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
Team player mentality with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues
Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions
Food safety and hygiene certification is advantageous
