Are you an experienced social worker ready to provide support in a fast-paced healthcare setting? Join our dedicated Social worker team today!

Join a supportive and collaborative Neurology team where your expertise will help patients and families navigate the challenges of stroke, acquired brain injury, glioblastoma and other complex neurological conditions. As a Senior Social Worker (Level 3), you will provide advanced psychosocial assessment, counselling, advocacy and care coordination, supporting patients through critical transitions including discharge planning, community supports and NDIS access. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will apply your clinical expertise to complex cases, contribute to service improvement initiatives, and provide professional leadership within the Social Work Department. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing your skills across a diverse range of specialist clinical services.

The role also requires staff to participate in the on-call roster across both Wollongong and Shellharbour hospitals.

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
