About us:

Our school was the first Distance Education school to open in Queensland in 1987 and still leads in the use of technology to enable communication with our students and their tutors. We use traditional means of communication like mail and telephone as well as audio-teleconferencing, video, and the Internet to cross the barriers of distance and create the bonds of a school community. We prepare people for the future. Our school provides quality education to school-aged children. People choose distance education for their children for a variety of factors. We are proud to provide a high-quality, flexible and inclusive education for students from primary through to senior schooling. Our school community reflects a diverse range of backgrounds, with students learning from remote communities, rural districts, regional towns and urban centres across Queensland, Australia and the world.

Your opportunity:

This role is responsible for coordinating a range of tenancy, property and asset management functions, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, accurately and in accordance with departmental policies and relevant legislation.
Working with the Local Accommodation Committee, you will coordinate tenancy administration, liaise with property managers and maintenance contractors, manage furniture and key registers, process maintenance requests, and maintain accurate records. You will be the first point of contact for tenant enquiries, resolving issues where appropriate or escalating matters in line with established procedures.
This position would suit someone who is confident working within policy and legislative frameworks, demonstrates sound judgement, and is comfortable managing competing priorities. You will have a strong customer service focus, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Experience in property management would be highly regarded, although not essential.
