Are you an experienced Boilermaker / Welder looking for a rewarding career? Griffin Marine Services Pty Ltd, a leading provider of marine services to Defence and commercial operators, is seeking skilled Boilermaker / Welders in carbon and/or aluminium materials to join our growing team.
We have casual and full-time opportunities available in our WA based team working across multiple sites.
As a Welder, your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing blueprints and specifications to grasp job requirements.
- Selecting, cleaning, cutting, and shaping metal for welding.
- Lining up parts accurately before joining.
- Welding metal sections together using various techniques.
- Inspecting welds for quality and precision.
- Cleaning, polishing, and smoothing welds.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- At least 2 years' experience welding carbon and/or aluminium materials.
- A Trade qualification as a Boilermaker / Welder.
- A strong ability to read technical drawings.
- A solid understanding of safety protocols and PPE.
- A current driver's license with reliable transport.
- The ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- An OHS Construction Induction White Card, Driver's License and eligible to hold a Defence Clearance Access Card (DCAC).
Desirable Requirements (but not mandatory): Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Confined Space Entry, Dogging, Rigging, Fire Sentry Training, and Working at Heights certifications.
