Job Description

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

Based at our Hobart site, this Forklift Operator/ Truck Driver hands-on role is responsible for the safe movement and coordination of freight across the depot.

Your responsibilities will include:

Safely loading and unloading vehicles and trailers
Scanning, sorting and reconfiguring freight as required
Re-palletising and preparing freight for shipping and linehaul movements
Ensuring accurate and timely freight distribution
Working to operational deadlines and following site procedures
Identifying and reporting damaged freight in line with process
Applying safe load restraint practices, including correct use of straps and equipment
Maintaining strict adherence to safety and compliance standards

This is a fast-paced operational environment where accuracy, teamwork and a strong safety mindset are essential.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

To be successful, you will have:

A current and valid Forklift Licence (mandatory)
A current HR Licence (mandatory)
A current HC Licence (Preferred)
Experience in a freight, logistics or transport setting (highly regarded)
A proactive approach to workplace safety
The ability to follow instructions and established processes
Confidence working independently and within a team
Full working rights in Australia
