We are looking for a Senior Case Manager to join our team, based ineither the Launceston or Hobart office, on a full-time basis.
About the role
This is a unique and dynamic role that provides support across multiple teams when and where it is needed the most. The position will not carry its own portfolio, allowing the successful candidate to provide coverage during periods of leave, increased workloads, and business demand. This role offers variety, exposure to different areas of the business, and the opportunity to further develop your claims management capability.
Bring your passion for customer service and case management to support injured workers through their recovery journey and deliver positive outcomes and exceptional customer experiences.
- Supporting the business and our customers to achieve cost-effective outcomes within the framework of the legislation, identifying and managing return to work barriers on individual claims
- Making key liability decisions, information gathering and investigations, assessing claims for reasonable and necessary treatment and rehabilitation requirements
- Ensuring all case management actions are completed on time and with quality of a positive customer experience in mind, ensuring responsibility taken for prompt resolution of enquiries
- Developing trusted relationships with the customers that you support and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders to drive successful outcomes
- Actively contribute to the achievement of business targets and participate in departmental projects as required
- Having an attitude that empathizes with the needs of the injured worker and a desire to help them in their recovery
- Maintain and improve technical knowledge across all facets of claims management
- Keep up to date with legislative amendments and their practical application
About you
- Minimum of 3 years’ case management experience within TAS Workers Compensation
- Experience in supporting people who have sustained complex injuries
- Experience in mentoring other case managers within the team
- Ability to plan and prioritize effectively, organize tasks, and manage competing resources and demands
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact, and influence
- An empathetic style and customer focused approach which allows you to ‘walk in our customer's shoes’
- The ability to handle challenging situations and to act in a professional and responsive manner
- A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape
