We are looking for enthusiastic, organised and values-based Administration Officers to join one of Australia’s largest and most influential unions. We currently have three full-time, ongoing opportunities available in Adelaide, Sydney and Hobart.

THE OPPORTUNITY
These are entry-level administration roles. Working under regular guidance, you will develop practical skills while supporting a range of administrative and organisational activities across the Union.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support, including calendar management, meeting scheduling, room bookings, travel arrangements, and maintaining filing systems.
- Coordinate meetings and documentation, preparing agendas, recording minutes, and tracking actions to ensure timely follow-up.
- Support executive and senior leaders with correspondence, email management, communication prioritisation, briefing materials, and meeting preparation.
- Coordinate team and operational activities, including coordinating meetings and events, gathering information across teams, and supporting staff onboarding.
- Monitor projects and follow up action, including maintaining basic timelines and ensuring actions are progressed and completed.
- Provide finance and compliance support, including processing invoices and expenses, maintaining records, data entry, procurement support, and office supply management.
- Promote and uphold the Union’s values of equity, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of your work.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for people who are passionate about and committed to improving the lives of the members we represent.
You are someone who:
- Has well-developed written and verbal communication skills and is able to prepare professional correspondence using approved templates, style guides and established processes.
- Can manage competing priorities, remain organised and complete work accurately with appropriate guidance.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office and is comfortable learning new technology and systems.
- Works collaboratively and with integrity.
- Has a genuine commitment to the values and purpose of UWU.
Previous administration experience is desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from people looking to start or build a career administration and executive support.
