Full Job Description

Care by Milli provides compassionate, person-centred in-home care supporting older Australians to live independently and with dignity in their own homes. Gardening and maintenance services play a key role in maintaining safe, enjoyable living environments for our clients in Melbourne South Eastern suburbs and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

Lawn mowing, edging, pruning, and weeding
General garden upkeep and seasonal maintenance
Basic home maintenance (minor repairs, clearing hazards)
Maintaining safe outdoor environments
Communicating respectfully with clients and families
Reporting hazards, incidents, or maintenance needs

This role is limited to non-trade gardening and basic maintenance tasks only, and does not include:

Structural repairs or construction work
Electrical, plumbing, or specialist trade services
Complex landscaping projects

Skills & Experience

Experience in gardening or property maintenance
Ability to work independently
Strong reliability and communication skills
Desirable: experience in aged care or community services

Compliance Requirements

National Police Check
Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
Working with Children Check (if applicable)
Ability to meet health and safety requirements

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform manual tasks, lift equipment, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
