Position: Chef

Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent

Hours: Minimum 38 hours per week

Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per annum

Location: Harvey, Western Australia

Due to continued business growth and increasing customer demand, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our professional kitchen team on a full-time permanent basis.

Job Duties

Responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality, creative dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients
Maintaining excellent standard of food presentation and portion control
Collaborating with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and optimise kitchen operation
Work closely with the Head Chef, Restaurant Managers to monitor feedback on popularity of all dishes
Ensuring compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
Assisting with inventory management and stock control
Providing exceptional customer service and contributing to a positive team culture
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment ensuring compliance with all food safety legislation and food handling policies and procedures
Managing and supervising the day-to-day operations of the kitchen

Skills and Qualifications

Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, or a higher relevant qualification.
Demonstrated practical experience working in a commercial kitchen environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and kitchen operations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining professional workplace standards.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.
Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and rotating roster shifts as required.
