We currently have an exciting opportunity to work within our Human Resources team on a 12-month fixed-term parental leave contract, either full-time, or part-time at 0.8 or 0.9 FTE.

About the role
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will work closely with the Human Resources Team to support line managers, staff, and volunteers across a range of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee record-keeping, training and Work Health and Safety, taking ownership of day-to-day processes including:

Preparation of employment condition letters and contracts, and accurate maintenance of employee records across the employee lifespan.
- Facilitate or assist in end-to-end employee recruitment activities.
- Coordinate and ensure compliance requirements in relation to employee training, clearances and licences.
- Update and maintain HR related systems including HRIS and Learning and Development.
- Assist with exit processes, including preparation of termination paperwork, record updates, and arranging and conducting exit interviews as required.
- Assist in compiling data for budgets, reporting, analysis and audits.
- Provide support/advice to employees in relation to employment conditions as underpinned by the EBA, Guide Dogs SA/NT policy and Fair Work Act.
- Coordinate and create regular HR related communications and update / maintain HR related information sources and documents.
- Assist in making training arrangements, including provider and course research and maintaining learning and development processes.
- Provide support and proactively contribute to the WHS and EPC Committees including monitoring actions and accurate record keeping.
This role is a fixed term parental leave contract until August 2027.
Applications will be considered for full-time (1 FTE) or part-time (0.8 or 0.9 FTE), with flexibility considered for preferred hours / days worked.
About you
You thrive on a busy but organised schedule, where you have multiple priorities on the go. You are self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to demonstrate initiative within the scope of the role. Having excellent attention to detail and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills you will also possess:

Experience working in a Human Resources Administration or Coordination role, or a similar discipline, and knowledge of Fair Work principles.
- Experience in recruitment or recruitment support.
- Sound proficiency using HRIS or CRM systems.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to interpret agreements, awards and contracts to ensure compliance.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to gain the confidence of a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds and develop and foster strong, respectful relationships.
A qualification in Business or Human Resources is desirable.
Relevant Employment Clearances will be required.
