Full Job Description

Are you a passionate and driven third or fourth year Occupational Therapy student looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and dynamic environment? Located in Broadmeadow, NSW, we are seeking an Allied Health Assistant to join our team and play a vital role in supporting our clients to achieve their goals.

We support NDIS self-managed and plan-managed participants, Medicare, and private patients, with a focus on holistic, client-centered care.

As an Allied Health Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced Occupational Therapist, supporting her in delivering high-quality care to clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience, develop your skills, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.

Responsibilities:

Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing therapy programs for clients.
Conduct activities and exercises with clients as directed by the supervising therapist.
Support clients in achieving their therapy goals, both in the office and during home visits.
Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and session outcomes.
Collaborate with clients, families, and the team to provide holistic care.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (3rd year or above).
Previous experience in a healthcare or support role (preferred but not essential).
Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
Valid driver’s license and access to a car.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn.
