Job Description
Are you an experienced administrator who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment?
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Senior Medical Workforce Administrator to join our team and play a key role in supporting our medical workforce and service delivery. This is in a full-time, permanent capacity (76 hours per fortnight).
This is a key role responsible for supporting junior medical officer (JMO) rostering, rotations, and allocations, while providing comprehensive administrative support to a busy and fast-paced Medical Services team.
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for coordinating medical staffing and supporting the operational and training needs of our doctors. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless rostering, onboarding, and workforce management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating doctor allocations and rostering to support service delivery and training requirements
- Supporting the onboarding of doctors, including documentation, compliance, and commencement processes
- Providing administrative support for rural rotations, including travel, accommodation, training coordination, and reimbursements
- Maintaining accurate workforce data (payroll, leave, and education records) to support reporting and compliance
- Responding to enquiries and liaising with doctors, managers, and key stakeholders in a professional and timely manner
This is a busy and demanding role requiring excellent organisational skills, the ability to multitask
effectively, and confidence working in a dynamic healthcare environment.
About You
You are a motivated and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting and can manage competing priorities with ease.
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
Extensive experience in a senior administrative role, ideally within healthcare or
workforce coordination
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
Proven negotiation and conflict resolution capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet
deadlines
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
High attention to detail and accuracy
Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
Desirable:
- Tertiary qualifications in Health Administration, Business, or similar
- Experience using electronic rostering systems
- Experience with contemporary human resource management practices
