Suited to experienced Bookkeepers, or Accountants looking to move into bookkeeping.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join a supportive local team where your work is genuinely valued. You will look after a varied client base, work closely with the Partners and wider Brookvale team, and have the chance to grow at your own pace with plenty of support along the way.

What You'll Be Doing:

General bookkeeping and data processing
Accounts payable & accounts receivable
Preparing BAS and other statutory returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Preparing and lodging payroll
Monthly and annual payroll tax returns
End-of-year income statement lodgements for clients
Monthly account reconciliations
Preparing monthly and quarterly client reports using Fathom/Syft
Supporting the Head of Bookkeeping on various projects
Communicating with clients in a clear, friendly and professional manner
Working alongside Client Directors, Senior Managers and Partners on projects
Getting involved in team meetings, training and firm events

About You:

Ideally around 3–4 years' experience in a similar role
Public practice experience highly regarded
Certificate IV in bookkeeping/accounting, or a bachelor's degree in accounting
Confident using Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Hubdoc and Dext
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Well organised with a good eye for detail
Genuinely enjoy looking after clients and being part of a close team
Proactive, self-motivated and easy to work with
