McMahon Services is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our Engineering & Projects team, based in Adelaide.
This is a key role within the Precontracts team, responsible for delivering medium to large scale, multi-discipline tenders and supporting the successful conversion of opportunities into project wins.
You will contribute to a strong and diverse pipeline of work across sectors including Water, Defence, Resources, Industrial and Energy, showcasing the breadth and technical capability of our E&P team.

About the Role
This role offers variety and flexibility, with responsibility for leading estimating activities across a range of complex projects. You will work collaboratively with internal teams to develop high quality submissions, robust cost estimates and practical construction methodologies.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the preparation and delivery of detailed cost estimates
- Review and develop estimates using first principles and subcontractor inputs
- Manage tender submissions including EOIs and post tender activities
- Coordinate estimators, engineers and submissions teams
- Develop construction methodologies, programs and cost strategies
- Identify and manage commercial and technical risks and opportunities
- Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
- Support negotiations and project handover activities
What You’ll Bring
- 7–10+ years’ experience in construction estimating
- Experience delivering medium to large, multi-discipline tenders
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of cost structures
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and contribute to team outcomes
- Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying or similar (desirable)
