About Chorus

Chorus is a WA based organisation with close to 1000 staff and volunteers who support seniors, people on the mental health recovery journey, and those living with a disability. Our purpose is to enable people to live the life they choose at home and in the community. We have designed a structure that focuses less on management and hierarchy and more on the things that matter - relationships, customers, and communities! Our network of small local teams enables Chorus people to be more connected to each other and feel a sense of belonging.

About the Role

We are currently seeking applications for a casual Gardening & Home Maintenance (GHM) Support Worker based in our Gosnells local. This position aims to deliver gardening and maintenance services to seniors and NDIS clients, supporting their ability to remain in their homes and live independently.

The role is primarily one day per week (Thursday), with the opportunity to provide leave coverage for our existing gardening team as required. As our customer base continues to grow, there is genuine potential for hours to increase over time - making this a great opportunity for someone who is flexible and open to expanded availability.

We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.

About You

You are reliable, physically fit, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of our clients. You bring a friendly, professional manner and take pride in delivering high-quality service.

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience in gardening is required;
Demonstrated previous experience in use of powered gardening equipment, such as self-propelled mowers, Brush cutters, Edgers, Hedge trimmers etc
Fantastic customer service skills;
Providing support and guidance to volunteers of varying skills and abilities;
A team player;
Good communication skills are written, interpersonal and verbal;
Basic computer and paperwork skills;
A safety-first approach to ensure safety and wellbeing of yourself, clients, and the team;
Willing and able to keep up with the demands of the physical demands of a gardening role;

Prerequisites

A NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to apply)
Current Drivers Licence with no restrictions
Rights to work in Australia
Current First Aid Certificate with 12 months or less currency (or willing to apply)
