About the opportunity:
Reporting to the Sales Director and as part of the Sales Leadership Team, this role combines significant commercial ownership, strategic influence and people leadership.
With full PL accountability for one of Mars Food Nutrition Australia’s most important growth channels, you will lead the largest people team within the sales function, developing and inspiring a high-performing team of nine Associates across National and State Account Management, while shaping the future direction of the Foodservice business.
Based at our Wyong or Sydney location, this role offers flexibility while ensuring strong engagement across the business and with key customers.
What you’ll do:
Strategic Channel Leadership
- Define and execute the Foodservice growth strategy.
- Identify priority customers, segments and growth opportunities.
- Drive channel expansion and competitive advantage.
- Lead strategic and annual business planning, balancing short- and long-term growth.
Commercial Leadership
- Deliver revenue, profit, market share and distribution targets.
- Build and strengthen strategic customer and distributor partnerships.
- Lead complex negotiations and customer engagements.
- Drive execution of customer plans and commercial investments.
People Leadership Capability Development
- Lead and develop the largest sales team in the business, including nine associates across National and State Account roles.
- Coach and inspire a high-performing, customer-focused culture built on accountability and collaboration.
- Build leadership capability, succession pipelines and provide clear direction in a fast-moving environment.
Digital Sales Excellence
- Build digital capability across the team and embed CRM usage (including Salesforce).
- Strengthen data-led decision making and customer management.
- Improve sales effectiveness through technology and process optimisation.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner across Marketing, Finance, Supply, Demand Planning and RD.
- Influence stakeholders to align priorities and deliver results.
- Lead through collaboration to solve complex business challenges.
- Champion a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
What we are looking for:
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven leader who can inspire and engage others, navigate complexity, and operate with a strong commercial mindset. The successful candidate will bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related field.
- Significant FMCG/consumer goods leadership experience with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated success managing complex commercial relationships and driving growth through strategic customer partnerships.
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with experience developing and executing growth strategies.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership capability.
- The ability to create structure, clarity and focus in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Curiosity and learning agility, with experience leveraging data and CRM tools to improve performance.
