The Bread Social

The Bread Social is an artisan bakery and wholesale business. With a focus on traditional baking methods, the bakery uses organic, sustainably sourced, and locally produced ingredients wherever possible to create high-quality baked goods. Established in Byron Bay, The Bread Social has grown to multiple locations across the Northern Rivers, Gold Coast, and Tweed regions while maintaining its commitment to ethical sourcing, craftsmanship, and community-focused hospitality

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The Bread Social is looking for an experienced and qualified Baker to join their dynamic team.

MAIN TASKS:

Accurately measure and prepare ingredients in accordance with established recipes and production schedules.
Mix, knead and prepare doughs and batters using manual techniques and commercial bakery equipment.
Operate and monitor bakery machinery used for rolling, shaping, moulding, slicing and portioning bakery products.
Manage the baking process, including loading, monitoring, unloading, cooling and finishing a variety of breads, rolls and pastries.
Decorate, glaze and finish baked goods to meet presentation and quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor ingredient stock levels and assist with ordering and maintaining adequate supplies for daily production.
Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic work environment, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and sanitised before and after production.
Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Inspect finished products to ensure consistency, quality and compliance with bakery specifications.
Assist customers with product enquiries when required.
Support efficient daily bakery operations by preparing workstations and ensuring production deadlines are met.

WHAT YOU NEED:

· Relevant trade qualification related to baking and patisserie

· A minimum of 2 years of baking experience

SALARY EXPECTATION:

Full-time

$75,000 to $85,000 per annum

Currumbin Waters, QLD

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
