We are seeking an innovative Pastry Demi Chef to start the day in our Bakery shift, to deliver a memorable experience by creating a place to savour for our guests and establish The Langham, Gold Coast a dining institution.
Key Responsibilities
Our Pastry Demi Chef on the Baker shit is responsible for the 4:30am start to the Pastry day, ensuring breakfast pastries are baked fresh daily to our standards required.
Our Pastry team are responsible for laminated dough, pastry, tarts, and occasion cakes, undertaking all aspects of the process, from weighing to mixing, shaping and baking, to ensure every product is of perfect quality and produced on time to meet daily production requirements. We create, decorate and present all desserts including cakes, pastries, desserts, mousses and bakery ensuring that The Property is positioned as the leading destination for Bakery and Pastry on the Gold Coast.
As a Pastry Demi Chef, you will assist our Executive Pastry Chef and other Senior Pastry Chefs with Food Safety Management System, ensures that the work methods are safe and best practice are maintained and encourage team work and camaraderie.
About You
Our Pastry Demi Chef will be an innovator and true Artisan and will have experience in high end volume operations at a luxury hotel/High End Restaurant or Café and proven experience leading teams to meet a level of high performance across food quality and innovation.
