We are seeking an organised, accurate and service-minded Accounting Officer to join the Finance team at Andaz Gold Coast.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems and people, and who takes pride in keeping financial processes running smoothly behind the scenes. You will support the day-to-day accounting function while working closely with colleagues across the hotel.

The opportunity

As Accounting Officer, you will assist with a broad range of finance and administrative responsibilities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, reporting and general financial controls.

You will help ensure transactions are processed accurately, records remain current and financial information is available when needed. Your attention to detail, follow-through and collaborative approach will support the hotel’s wider commercial performance.

What you will do

Process invoices, purchase orders, payments and expense claims accurately and on time.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Reconcile supplier statements, bank transactions and balance sheet accounts.
Follow up outstanding accounts and support timely debt collection.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly finance reports.
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Assist with month-end processes, journal entries and account reconciliations.
Support cash handling, banking and revenue reconciliation procedures.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Work with hotel departments to ensure invoices, approvals and supporting documents are complete.
Maintain supplier and client account information in relevant systems.
Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
Support budget tracking, cost control and financial reporting.
Follow Hyatt, hotel and legislative finance procedures and controls.
Provide general administrative support to the Finance team as required.

Qualifications

About you

You are methodical, dependable and comfortable managing detailed work. You communicate clearly, meet deadlines and enjoy helping others understand and complete financial processes.

You will bring:

Previous experience in an accounting, finance or accounts administration role.
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Sound understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations.
Good organisation and time-management skills.
Confidence working with spreadsheets and financial systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
A collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

A qualification in accounting, finance or business, along with experience in hospitality or hotel finance systems, will be highly regarded.
