Downer is seeking skilled Electrical Automation Technicians or Electrical Automation Engineers for ongoing heavy industrial maintenance services and outages with our Automation team. Our Automation team works in 2 main areas, VSD (Variable Speed Drives) and In-motion weighbridges for rail. We are ideally looking for someone well versed in power control electronics of an industrial nature.

With a workshop and office located in Eastern Creek, Sydney you will work in the office and workshop environments as well as site-based throughout NSW and across Australia. The ideal candidate is willing to work on the tools as well as help with other office administration items as they learn the business. Automation offers turnkey solutions to our clients and you are expected to apply your skills and expertise in installing, maintaining, and replacing specialist electrical equipment and systems for planned and unplanned breakdown work ensuring that work is completed safely, effectively, and to a high standard.
