Full Job Description

Introduction:
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Trades Assistant to join our manufacturing team. This role will provide day-to-day support to our skilled welders and machinists, helping ensure materials, equipment and work areas are prepared and ready for production.

Description:
About the role

Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you will assist with a range of manufacturing activities, including:

Preparing and moving materials for production.
Assisting welders and machinists with day-to-day tasks.
Providing basic support with machines and equipment.
Assisting with machine set-up and preparation.
Preparing tools, materials and work areas.
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workplace.

About You

You will be a practical, reliable and motivated person who enjoys working with your hands and being part of a team. You will ideally have:

Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Basic mechanical aptitude and an interest in manufacturing.
The ability to follow instructions, procedures and safety requirements.
A willingness to learn new skills and support experienced tradespeople.
Good work ethic, reliability and a positive team attitude.
The ability to work effectively in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
