About the role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our dynamic team at Nexa Group Pty Ltd, located in the vibrant Bondi Junction, NSW.
Working across multiple projects, the Business Analyst facilitates stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, process mapping, solution design and testing activities to support successful project delivery and business transformation initiatives.
What you'll be doing
- Gathering analysing and documenting business requirements through stakeholder engagement, workshops, interviews and process reviews.
- Providing insights and recommendations based on business analysis, operational data, research and stakeholder feedback to support business objectives and project outcomes.
- Developing and maintaining business requirements, functional specifications, process documentation, as built documentation, user stories, workflows and supporting artefacts.
- Analysing current-state business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiency and enhanced customer outcomes.
- Facilitating process mapping workshops and document current and future-state business processes.
- Working collaboratively with project teams, clients and technical resources to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into solution designs.
- Supporting solution validation activities to ensure delivered outcomes align with agreed business requirements and stakeholder expectations.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of NEXA products, services, methodologies and internal processes
- Maintaining documentation standards and supporting effective information management practices across projects and operational activities.
- Supporting project delivery through effective requirements management, stakeholder engagement and business analysis activities.
- Assisting with project scoping, impact assessments and requirements prioritisation to ensure clarity of project objectives and deliverables.
- Working with clients and project teams to define business needs, solution requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitating communication between business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors and project resources throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supporting testing activities including test planning, writing test cases, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management and business sign-off.
- Assisting with solution implementation activities, training preparation and business readiness initiatives.
- Monitoring requirements traceability to ensure project deliverables remain aligned with approved scope and business objectives.
- Supporting governance and reporting requirements through accurate documentation and project artefact management.
- Functioning as a subject matter expert for assigned products and solutions, providing guidance to internal teams and clients where required.
- Demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Facilitating workshops, meetings and stakeholder discussions effectively.
- Building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
- Actively listening, asking insightful questions and clearly articulating business needs and proposed solutions.
- Producing high-quality documentation and presentations tailored to audience requirements.

What we're looking for
- 3+ years' experience in a Business Analyst or related role supporting business improvement, technology delivery, process optimisation or transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience gathering, analysing and documenting business, functional and non-functional requirements through stakeholder engagement, workshops, interviews and process analysis.
- Proven ability to develop business cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, functional specifications and solution documentation to support successful project delivery.
- Experience working across software implementation, system integration, digital transformation and business improvement initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, business users, technical teams, vendors and senior stakeholders.
- Experience conducting current-state and future-state process analysis and facilitating process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess impacts, identify risks and recommend practical business solutions.
- Experience supporting solution design, system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management and implementation activities.
- Experience translating business needs into clear and actionable requirements for delivery teams.
- Proficiency in business process modelling and documentation tools, including Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working within Agile, Waterfall and hybrid project delivery environments.
- Ability to analyse data, reporting and business metrics to support decision-making, business improvements and project outcomes.
- Strong understanding of customer experience, service delivery and operational processes within technology-enabled environments.
- Maintain effective working relationships across diverse teams and client environments.
- Strong customer and service-oriented mindset, with a commitment to understanding business needs and delivering value-driven outcomes.
