Full Job Description

IPC Maintenance is currently seeking a Pipefitter to join our experienced fabrication team. IPC prides itself on the quality of our staff with a focus on finding and retaining the best people. Our business is driven by providing our clients outstanding customer service, the highest levels of safety, quality, and innovation. We offer competitive working conditions and remuneration to our employees. The work will be completed at a large workshop and office facility based in the Henderson Marine Complex, as well as on various sites when required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Read and interpret isometric and technical drawings.
Measure and cut pipes according to requirements.
Weld, assemble, and lubricate pipes.
Install and secure pipes (e.g., with clamps).
Repairing malfunctions, including fixed plant maintenance and repair.
Testing pipe systems to ensure safety and functionality.
Inspect and prepare sites for construction operations.
Work with materials including stainless steel,
Use and maintain tools.
Safe work methods – JSA’s, Take5, Work Permits, PPE etc.
Collaborate with other workers to produce finished constructions.

The following criteria are required for Pipefitters;

Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in a similar role.
Ability to interpret technical drawings.
Knowledge of health and safety guidelines when dealing with dangerous equipment.
Attention to detail.
Ability to lift up-to 25kg.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week, consistently.
High level of safety awareness and compliance.
Ability to pass and maintain fitness for work program.
Energy to meet the demands of our environment and time restraints.
You must be reliable, enthusiastic, and work autonomously.
Must have the right to work in Australia.
Must have Driver’s Licence and reliable car.
