Permanent Part Time, 56 hours per fortnight
Located in: Peninsula University Hospital, Frankston
Classification: Grade 1 Level 1 - Level 5 (HS1 - HS17*) plus super

The Team & Role

As the friendly first point of contact for patients and visitors to Peninsula Care Group and Peninsula University Hospital, this multi-faceted role is responsible for dealing with phone and reception desk enquiries. The role assists visitors, patients and staff in a courteous and friendly manner, manages switchboard operations and associated software, responds calmly to internal and external emergency calls and codes, and provides assistance with patient enquiries both over the phone and in person. Working as part of a collaborative team, the role requires clear and effective communication, consumer service, organisation skills, critical thinking and problem solving, while contributing to quality, safety, patient-centred care and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience Required

Basic Computer Skills
A strong understanding and experience with customer service
Previous Switchboard / Reception experience
Aware of, interprets and applies policies
Understands the purpose of, and is able to use, common software applications
Must be able to work nights, weekends and public holidays
Previous experience in a health setting (desirable)
