Commercial Savoury Chef
Location - Braeside, Melbourne
Hours of Work – Full-Time Permanent role, Day Shift with no split shifts, 38 hours per week

Laurent Bakery has always been driven by love and respect for the craft of French artisan baking and exists as a homage to the values of a village bakery.
In order to maintain our exceptional product standards and continued smooth running of our business, we are looking for an experienced Savoury Chef who has extensive commercial kitchen experience.
As our Savoury Chef you will:
- be Trade Qualified Chef – Certificate III in Commercial Cookery with good pastry knowledge (preferable)
- have a good understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- have a sound knowledge of stock control, ordering, hygiene, safety awareness
- be able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner
- demonstrate a flexible approach and attitude
- have good communication skills
- be hard working
- be reliable
Your key responsibilities will be:
- prepare all savoury products according to production requirements.
- manage and prepare orders from the production team, including sandwich orders from stores and the retail savoury product orders
- follow product specifications and guidelines as set out by recipes and QA
- prepare wholesale orders from the production team and manage time to meet wholesale production requirements
- prepare and bake quiches and pies in accordance to recipes and specification guidelines.
- monitor product quality through all stages of production
This role is pivotal in allowing us to continue to provide all our cafés, customers and export chains with the products that has made Laurent Bakery famous, Australian wide.
