Qualified Chef – Full -Time (38 –40 Hours Weekly)
Award-winning local café/restaurant located in the heart of Berwick is seeking a Qualified Chef who is genuinely passionate about cooking and modern café cuisine.
Suitable candidates must:
- Hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
- Have at least 3 years' experience in a fast-paced kitchen, including prep work and service.
- Be available to work on weekdays and weekends.
- Understand modern food trends and contribute to menu ideas.
- Have experience in kitchen and stock management.
- Possess good knowledge of fusion-style food (preferred but not essential).
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing day-to-day kitchen operations.
- Completing prep work according to recipes and guidance from the Head Chef / Sous Chef.
- Opening and closing the kitchen, including maintaining cleanliness and industry standards.
- Plating and serving dishes to café standards.
- Assisting the Head Chef with ordering and managing stock levels.
- Contributing to business growth and improving kitchen efficiency.
- Keeping records as required by council and industry regulations.
- Maintaining food safety standards and stock rotation.
- Supporting the kitchen in any required role.
- Training kitchen hands and other staff when needed.
- Performing other reasonable duties to support the business.

- Full -time role
- Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- Approximately 38 – 40 hours per week
