Kitchen Hand – Eleni’s Kitchen & Bar & Jimmy’s Deli

Location: Yarraville, Melbourne
Employment type: Casual or Part-Time
Pay: Award rates, including applicable penalty rates

Eleni’s Kitchen & Bar and Jimmy’s Deli are family-owned hospitality venues located in the heart of Yarraville. As our businesses continue to grow, we are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our team.

This position may involve working across both venues and is suited to someone seeking consistent, long-term employment in a busy and supportive kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

Washing dishes, cookware and kitchen equipment
Keeping kitchen, preparation and storage areas clean and organised
Assisting chefs with basic food preparation when required
Receiving and correctly storing deliveries
Emptying bins and maintaining waste areas
Following food-safety, hygiene and workplace-safety procedures
Helping the kitchen team during busy services
Completing opening and closing cleaning duties

What We’re Looking For

Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Able to work quickly and stay organised during busy periods
Physically capable of standing for extended periods and safely lifting kitchen supplies
Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene
Available to work evenings and weekends, including Friday and Saturday nights
Previous kitchen-hand or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential
Valid Australian working rights
