Eleni’s Kitchen & Bar and Jimmy’s Deli are family-owned hospitality venues located in the heart of Yarraville. As our businesses continue to grow, we are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our team.
This position may involve working across both venues and is suited to someone seeking consistent, long-term employment in a busy and supportive kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Washing dishes, cookware and kitchen equipment
- Keeping kitchen, preparation and storage areas clean and organised
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation when required
- Receiving and correctly storing deliveries
- Emptying bins and maintaining waste areas
- Following food-safety, hygiene and workplace-safety procedures
- Helping the kitchen team during busy services
- Completing opening and closing cleaning duties
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to work quickly and stay organised during busy periods
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and safely lifting kitchen supplies
- Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
- Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene
- Available to work evenings and weekends, including Friday and Saturday nights
- Previous kitchen-hand or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential
- Valid Australian working rights
