Full Job Description

Pastry Cook

About us – we are a wholesale manufacturing business who produce gourmet products, we supply products throughout Australia for cafés, hotels, restaurants and supermarkets.

About you – You are an enthusiastic person who loves food and have an eye for detail and would like your next role to be in the food manufacturing industry. You will need to have had previous experience in the industry. Trade qualifications would be an advantage, though they are not essential.

Skills Required

· Ability to decorate cakes, with speed and a quality finish.

· Ability to cut slice slabs by hand with speed and accuracy.

· Have commercial experience making pastry products such pies, pasties and sausage rolls.

· Ability to make Lemon Tarts and Lemon Meringue Tarts

· Able to read recipes, weigh off accurately.

· Have previous experience working with industrial machinery.

· Work within a team environment.

· Able to lift 15kg.

· Participate in general housekeeping within the factory.

· Organizing and leadership skills preferable.

· Great attention to detail a must.

· Reliable form of transport.
