We are a proud, Australian-owned, family-operated bakery with a heritage spanning more than 100 years. For the past three decades, we have specialised in developing, testing, and producing thousands of unique bakery creations for our valued customers. Today, our portfolio includes over 600 premium-quality products, from artisan sourdough breads, banana bread, muffins, and buttery croissants to baked cheesecakes, donuts, tarts, protein balls, biscuits, and slices.
We supply delicious, quality, baked pastry and bread products to the hospitality and retail sectors 6 days a week.
Our team of 135 employees is diverse, friendly, and inclusive, representing a wide range of cultures, ages, and talents - and we’re looking for someone new to join our Fergys family.
Main Duties
- Weighing, mixing, and depositing ingredients
- Assisting in preparing various pastry and bakery products
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
- Following strict food safety and quality standards
- Working collaboratively with a diverse team of experienced pastry cooks and assistants
Skills & Attributes
- Good English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Physically fit and capable of repeatedly lifting up to 25kg
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to quality, consistency, and excellence
Preferred (but not essential):
- Experience in a bakery, food manufacturing, or FMCG environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP principles
- Understanding of allergen management
