About the opportunity
As the Senior Programs Officer , you will play a key role in the effective delivery of curriculum, and teaching and learning initiatives as part of the University’s Collective Excellence 2026–2028 education priorities within the Education and Students Portfolio. Embedded within the School of Architecture, Design, and Planning, and aligned to the CE28 Education priorities of Curriculum Quality and Sustainability (CQS), Teaching and Learning Response to AI (TLRAI), and Student Evaluation of Teaching (SET), this role partners closely with Faculty leadership to ensure that project and program activities are well planned, integrated, and consistently implemented across local contexts.
A key focus of the role is supporting governance processes and reporting across CE28 Education priorities, working closely with the Associate Dean (Education) and Education Manager. This includes translating high-level strategic direction into coordinated Faculty-specific activity plans, schedules, and implementation pathways, and ensuring activities are effectively delivered, through clear governance, documentation, and communication processes.
The Senior Programs Officer will also partner with the School curriculum team and Education Manager to support and facilitate delivery across curriculum and assessment workstreams. Where curriculum changes arise as activities, the role will support the School of Architecture, Design, and Planning to ensure those changes are progressed through the University’s and Faculty’s established governance forums. The breadth of this role reflects the interconnected nature of education priorities at the School level, integrating aligned local initiatives with CQS, TLRAI, and SET where appropriate, and in agreement with the Education and Students Portfolio.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
translate strategic direction into Faculty-specific activity plans, schedules, and workflows to effectively deliver CE28 Education priorities (CQS, TLRAI, SET) within ADP
design, implement, and manage project plans with clear timelines, milestones, and governance structures, addressing risks and ensuring quality deliverables
support governance processes and reporting, including preparing agendas, papers, minutes, action logs, and tracking milestones, risks, and decisions for relevant committees and senior leaders
partner with the School curriculum team to support and implement curriculum and assessment workstreams, and progress curriculum changes through established governance forums where required
coordinate and prepare high-quality documentation for committees, governance bodies, and project reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with University standards.
About you
prior working experience within a tertiary organisation
understanding of ADP curriculum structures, associated policies, business processes, and systems (essential)
strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
proven ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with diverse stakeholders
skilled in project documentation, standards, methodologies, and providing secretariat support, including minute-taking
excellent problem-solving, numeracy, and attention to detail in high-data environments
demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, exercising sound judgment and initiative.
