About the role

You will be a key part of our award-winning kitchen team. This role is a great development opportunity for a team member to improve their skills in a high volume kitchen environment. Previous experience is quality restaurant is essential and but a passion for cooking and learning, a great attitude and energy is even more critical.

Key Responsibilities

Duties include:

regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
receiving stock
Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen is in alignment with Food Safety requirements and general hygiene practices
Preparation, replenishment & rotation of stock in the kitchen
Tasks incidental to and assisting with ordering stock in accordance with par levels and the needs of the store
Some incidental duties of lower-level kitchen classification, including dishes.

Job Duties:

Prepare and season food as directed
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations
Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities

Pay: $33.05 – $39.66 per hour
