PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
To provide effective leadership and management to the Power Services Asset Strategy team, overseeing the adoption of commercial and industry
best practice for Asset Risk Management, and overseeing development of Asset Management Plans, network maintenance and asset replacement
capital programs and budgets, with the goal of achieving defined business and asset objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The “WHAT” to be delivered
- Lead, manage, coordinate and develop staff to achieve Power and Water’s strategic objectives
- Provide effective leadership in the integration of Quality, Risk and asset Financial Management practices into Strategic Asset Management Plans
for all Power Services assets to ensure optimised life-cycle costs.
- Maintain effective oversight of Power Services asset maintenance activities to ensure delivery in accordance with business plans and budget
parameters, and to achieve network performance targets and manage network risk exposure.
- Develop and manage processes for the assessment and change management of internal processes and/or technological changes to the network
assets, ensuring they result in quantifiable improvement to the business.
- Oversee the development and implementation of policies and long-term strategies to manage and reduce overall maintenance costs whilst
improving network reliability.
- Provide technical input to completion of annual Power Services asset management related Regulatory Information Notices and associated
compliance audit process.
- Make a positive contribution to Power Services through pro-active team membership, staff development, innovation, effective interpersonal
and management skills, and contributing to the development of the strategic direction.
- Identifying asset information requirements to support asset cost, performance and risk management for primary transmission, distribution,
substation and line assets within Power Services.
- Benchmarking and auditing of network maintenance and performance parameters to satisfy internal and external stakeholders.
