Tourism and Events Northern Territory (TENT) is committed to promoting the Territory as a unique, world-class events destination.
Working at TENT is more than a job—it is a commitment to delivering high-quality, safe, and memorable event experiences across
the Northern Territory.
TENT is seeking an Event and Operations Coordinator to contribute directly and indirectly to the delivery of the major events
portfolio of Tourism and Events NT.
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the role has outcomes linked to event planning and operational delivery whilst
working through and across functional elements including safety, compliance, and budgeting. The role also includes site visit and
site-based work throughout the event season, playing a key support role to the operational delivery of each event.

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Contribute to the planning and delivery of the TENT event portfolio.
2. Liaise and work with event partners, suppliers and stakeholders to develop and implement operational scopes of service.
3. Facilitate and manage access to event sites and work schedules.
4. Collate and execute administrative tasks relating to the events including reports, build schedules, accreditation, event

enhancement plans and servicing requirements.
5. Coordinate event overlay including temporary infrastructure installations and compliance requirements.
6. Actively participate within our workplace health and safety and risk management framework including adhering to policies

procedures and driving best practise.
7. Co-ordinate and support events and activities as required.

Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated previous event or venue management skills across a diverse portfolio of events and venues.
2. A team player who can contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
3. Well-developed IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook applications.
4. Demonstrated ability to remain productive whilst working under external pressures.
5. Current drivers licence and ochre card.
6. Proven customer service skills including sound oral and written communication skills and experience working with the general

public.
7. Proven ability to manage pressure, maintain flexibility, have a high level of motivation, be an innovative thinker and uphold a

high level of confidentiality.
8. Ability and willingness to work outside normal working hours including public holidays and weekends as and when required to

support events delivery.

Desirable
1. Licenses/Tickets including High Risk Work licence, Vehicle Licenses, Plant and Operational machinery licenses.
2. First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.

Further information
Further information Whilst the Event and Operations Coordinator will be based in Darwin, it is expected they may be required to
travel to events across the Northern Territory. There will be a requirement to work some weekends and public holidays.
