We are seeking a motivated Chef-De-Partie to join our team in Black Rock

About Us

We offer a modern Argentinean menu with both large and small tapas designed to share, creating a communal dining experience. Together with our beachside location, True South creates an inviting atmosphere for all!

About the Role

An excellent opportunity exists for a creative chef, to be part of our team in our Bayside location, Lunch, Dinner & Function service Monday to Sunday.

We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding customer service and an excellent café and function experience where the aim is to always exceed our customers' expectations. The successful applicant will work closely with our Group Head Chef & Head Chef to learn the techniques of the trade and venue including but not limited to:

Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
Preparing and cooking food
Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations

This is an excellent opportunity to develop, whilst creating and consistently delivering the highest quality dining experience. The successful applicants must be passionate and:

AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
Minimum 1 years work experience.
Be technically proficient in all areas of kitchen operation.
Be very well presented
Have the ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressured environment
Have outstanding communication skills
Be reliable and punctual
The desire to be part of an outstanding, dynamic and growing company
Availability on Weekends
