AUTOMOTIVE PARTS SALESPERSON
Rapid Car Parts is looking for a motivated, confident and customer-focused Automotive Parts Salesperson to join our team.
This role is suited to someone who has a good understanding of cars and automotive parts, enjoys dealing with customers and has the ability to work efficiently in a busy sales environment.

About the Role
As a Parts Salesperson, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their automotive parts requirements from the initial enquiry through to completing the sale.
You will communicate with customers over the phone, online and in person, identify the parts they need, provide accurate pricing and availability, and work with our dismantling and warehouse team to ensure the correct parts are supplied.
The successful applicant must be confident dealing with customers and have the ability to turn enquiries into sales while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer phone calls and enquiries.
- Assist customers who visit the business in person.
- Understand customer requirements and identify the correct vehicle parts.
- Use automotive knowledge to identify parts, models and applications.
- Search vehicle and parts databases using a computer.
- Check parts availability and condition.
- Provide customers with accurate pricing and quotes.
- Negotiate and close sales where appropriate.
- Follow up customer enquiries and convert opportunities into sales.
- Enter customer and sales information accurately into computer systems.
- Create work orders for the dismantling and picking team.
- Communicate clearly with dismantlers and order pickers regarding required parts.
- Ensure customers receive the correct part for their vehicle.
- Process sales and assist with customer collections and freight arrangements.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers.
- Work towards individual and team sales targets.
- Assist other members of the sales team when required.
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional sales area.
Skills & Requirements

Highly Desirable:
- Previous automotive parts sales experience.
- Experience working in a wrecking yard or automotive parts business.
- Previous experience using parts catalogues or automotive databases.
- Previous sales experience.
- Knowledge of different makes, models and vehicle specifications.
