Join Bluebird Early Education Berwick, a vibrant, community-focused 100-place Service in the new Alira Estate. Our purpose-built centre features inspiring spaces including dedicated art, music, and mindfulness areas that foster creativity and calm.

Our rooftop gardens provide unique opportunities for children to explore and learn among bush tucker, herbs, vegetables, and citrus trees, connecting them with nature. With six well-designed Studios tailored to each age group—including spacious cot rooms with comfortable breastfeeding chairs—every child receives high-quality, age-appropriate educational experiences.

Led by our amazing in-house chef, our interactive kitchen works closely with families and Nutrition Australia to provide balanced, nutritious meals. About the role:

We are on a search for a passionate and enthusiastic Assistant Centre Manager with a strong background in Early Education to manage the day-to-day Centre operations.

As a Assistant Centre Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily Centre management tasks, managing and leading to inspire a team of Educators, and ensuring they are working in accordance with the service philosophy, company policies, and procedures & the National Quality Standards (NQS), to provide exceeding education and care for all families and children.

Key Competencies

Strong understanding of industry legislation, compliance, and regulations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong and confident in an understanding of business management.
Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment.
Strong understanding of the importance of family communications.
Leadership and mentoring skills.
Excellent people and centre management skills.
Curriculum & Planning skills.
Passionate about implementing Early Learning Programs.
Commitment to our Oxanda Rituals.
At least 2 years + experience in a lead or management role.
Ability to inspire your Team to achieve an exceeding service.

Essential Criteria

Diploma in ECEC or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education (approved by ACECQA)
Current Working with Children's Check.
Current First Aid Certificate including CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis or be willing to obtain these.
Current Child Protection, Safe Sleep, and Food Safety Training or be willing to obtain these.
Ability to make business decisions and work with assigned budgets.
A motivated member able to work well in a team and independently.
