About Us

Ustadh Restaurant brings the royal taste and royal feel of authentic Indian fine dining to the heart of Melbourne. Our menu celebrates rich culinary heritage, refined technique, and an elevated dining experience. We're looking for a passionate Chef to join our kitchen team and help us deliver food worthy of royalty.

Roles and Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes, ensuring consistency and high-quality standards.
Ensure kitchen hygiene and cleanliness, maintaining food safety standards at all times.
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure fresh ingredients are always on hand.
Work efficiently under pressure, ensuring timely delivery of food during peak service hours.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain smooth operations and improve processes.
Assist in seasonal menu development by contributing new ideas and suggestions to enhance the dining experience.
Ensure all dishes are presented to the highest standard before leaving the kitchen.

What We're After

At least 1–2 years of experience in a similar role.
A Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent, and a Diploma of Hospitality Management.
A genuine passion for food and the craft of cooking.
The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and as part of a team.
A desire to grow and develop as part of a thriving restaurant.
