Experienced Pharmacy Assistant / Pharmacy Technician (Part-Time)

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and patient-focused Pharmacy Assistant or Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team. If you are passionate about community pharmacy, enjoy providing outstanding customer service and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service and patient-centred care.
Recommend and supply appropriate OTC, S2 and S3 medicines within your scope of practice.
Assist pharmacists in delivering professional pharmacy services.
Accurately dispense prescriptions using Fred Dispense (for Pharmacy Technicians).
Promote generic substitution and professional pharmacy services where appropriate.
Demonstrate sound knowledge of:
NDSS (National Diabetes Services Scheme)
Pharmacotherapy Services
Vaccination Services
Staged Supply
MedAdvisor
Community Pharmacy Programs
Tatts Lotto procedures
Maintain excellent knowledge of pharmacy and front-of-shop products.
Assist with stock ordering, receipting, merchandising, inventory control and expiry management using FIFO principles.
Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the pharmacy.
Complete opening and closing procedures as required.
Work collaboratively with pharmacists and the wider pharmacy team to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality patient care.
Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures and professional standards.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

Minimum 2 years' experience working in a community pharmacy (essential).
S2/S3 Certificate (essential).
Certificate III or IV in Community Pharmacy (highly regarded).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping people.
Experience with point-of-sale systems and cash handling.
Strong inventory management and merchandising skills.
Experience with Tatts Lotto operations.
Good knowledge of pharmacy products and community pharmacy services.
CPR and First Aid Certificate (preferred).
A current Australian driver's licence (preferred).
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and continuously improve.

Important Information

This position is for an experienced Pharmacy Assistant or Pharmacy Technician only.
This role does not provide a pathway to an Intern Pharmacist position.
All applicants will be assessed against the above selection criteria.
