Animal Attendant (Pet Boarding)

As the leading provider of pet care services across Australia, Kip Happy Stays sets the benchmark for excellence, ensuring every pet receives the ultimate in care and enrichment during their stay.

At Kip Mornington (Pearcedale, VIC), our team is deeply committed to delivering exceptional care to every furry friend that walks through its doors. We are now looking for 3 x Casual Animal Attendants to join our Boarding team and help us provide a premium service to the local pets, particularly as we head into our peak periods.

These are casual roles, with a roster that includes Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Please note that hours will be highest during peak periods (including school holidays and Christmas/Easter) and will reduce outside of these times. Availability on Mondays and Thursdays is especially valued, as these are current gaps in our roster.

Duties and responsibilities:

Provision of food and water for pets in care
Health checks and general animal husbandry
Supervising groups of dogs and managing their behaviours to maintain overall wellbeing and safety
Providing enrichment through play and scheduled activities
Frequent cleaning and upkeep of facility to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety
Building and maintaining rapport with our pet owners through feedback and transparency
Creating and distributing media content for our pet owners through videos and photos
Daily administration such as answering enquiries through email and phone, record keeping and entering information in our booking systems

Key requirements:

A current valid driver's licence is required
Available to attend a lawful unpaid work trial shift (operated within The Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines)
Available across Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, including school holiday periods
Must be driven and have a strong work ethic as the role can be physically demanding
Must be attentive and have great attention to detail
Works well in a team environment
Must be able to follow routines, policies and procedures
Previous experience working with animals is preferred
